Mental disorders caused by battle stress: preventionSokolov E.Y., Parshin A.N. (Moscow)
Abstract. The article deals with long-term psycho-somatic complications in the military, which experienced battle stress. For prevention and treatment of the under-mentioned kinds of post-stress disorders, both in peace and war times, crisis psycho-therapy has been offered to reveal and stimulate natural reserve facilities. The latter appear to create a barrier, preventing post-stress disorders in people, involved in dangerous professional activities. The article also describes some efficient psycho-therapeutic approaches to be employed in peace time, before an emergency, in war time, after fulfilling a military mission.
