Abstract. The article considered Yuri Michailovich Orlov contribution in medical psychology. He was a professor and a chief of pedagogic and medical psychology department in Moscow Medical Academy of I.M. Sechenov. His main contribution was development of "sanitation thinking" conception, which is a psychotherapy direction and closer to "philosophy consulting". Other achievements were programs for student's motive sphere researching, psycho diagnostic of achievement motivation, affiliation and anxiety.
